I’m krappy!!!! So here I am, feeling sick as a dog from this flu-like bug that I got last week right after returning from the Big Apple and the phone rings. It’s Sandra Carrion of the Soho Photo Gallery in New York telling me that Jill Enfield gave the above photo a third place finish for the 10th annual Krappy Kamera Competition. What’s even more exciting was that, according to Sandra, Jill had an extremely hard time picking just one of the six entries that I submitted. It was literally an eeny meeny miny moe moment. I’m thrilled, flattered, and humbled to be included in such august company as past KKC exhibitors and friends Susan Burnstine, Tread and, last year’s BOS (best of show), Warren Harold. As they say, three’s the charm! Third place on my third try at going to the show. For those of you in the metro New York area, the opening reception will be held March 4 at the Soho Photo Gallery, 15 White Street in the funky Tribeca neighborhood of lower Manhattan. Alas, I won’t be able to attend. I’m going to be participating in the mother of all portfolio review events: The Meeting Place at the biennial FotoFest ‘08 in Houston in early April.
