I’m currently in Portland, Oregon for Photolucida’s Northwest summer portfolio reviews. We’re celebrating the end of two intensive days of reviews with a little shindig on the rooftop of Blue Sky Gallery tonight with wine, food and, hopefully, some tasty Pacific Northwest microbrews. I’ll provide more details of the reviews when I get back to Sweet Home Chicago.

Two of my photographs from the Jesus is on the Mainline series, Hell Is Real and Prayer Box, were selected by George Slade, artistic director of the Minnesota Center for Photography, to be the the Coalition of Photographic Arts 2nd Annual Regional Juried Show. The show, which runs from September 12 through October 18, will be held at the Walker’s Point Center for the Arts, 911 W. National Avenue, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Meet me there for the opening reception on Friday, September 12 from 5 to 9 pm. I will also be there for a reception Friday, October 10 at 6 pm followed by a talk by George Slade at 7 pm. I hope to see some of you there.
